When I saw Derek's shoes, I remembered a boy named Alan who grew out of his shoes that he could hardly walk. As his parents weren't able to afford a new pair and as Alan had to keep going to school, the father just cut the shoe toes to get him a sort of school open sandals. Such sandals lasted a least half a year and at the begining Alan refused to wear them to school as he was afraid of being the amusement of other kids and he said he'd rather go to school in his socks.
Orion got that too, only just in just one shoe! isn't that wierd? I think we have had those exact same shoes as Derek!
